UC Berkeley.

Okay, let's rewind (big time).

Last Thursday, I left for the States via Philippine Airlines. My tickets got re-booked last minute for a reason I am not entirely sure about. Thanks, Mom! I traveled alone which was not a problem for me since I have done it a number of times already. While I was waiting for boarding, I saw my classmate Mico Echiverri + his family. What a pleasant surprise!

View from my window seat.
I literally did not eat during the entire flight because the food was not even edible. PAL serves the worst food ever. Thank God, I brought a can of Pik-Nik Cheese Shoestring Potatoes which served as my food throughout the entire flight. Genius right there.

I also got the chance to watch a film in the plane. Most of the time, I would just sleep during long trips abroad but this time was different. The selection was pretty much okay but My Amnesia Girl caught my eye at once. I'm jologs like that haha. The film was really funny and entertaining. I especially loved the witty pick-up lines.
Some landmark in UC Berkeley

I spent my first day at UC Berkeley with my cousin Marielle. She majoring in Microbiology in UC Berkeley. She toured me around campus for awhile then we went to a meeting with California Forward. It's a non-profit organization wherein they try to make amends with the government to increase the budget which is alloted to education. It was an interesting talk from an outsider's point of view.

@ the Library
After the meeting, we went directly to the library at UC Berkeley. It is the biggest library in the entire United States and ranks 2nd worldwide. The interiors were really intricate and gorgeous. This particular library holds one of the most extensive sets of books in the entire world.

Asian Taco
I also went food hopping within the campus. The selection is really diverse and almost everything tasted good. My favorite would have to be this Asian Taco. How racist right? Haha.

@ Siciliana's
My cousin and I grabbed dinner at this italian place within Berkeley called Siciliana. We were lucky to have seats since almost everyday the place is jampacked. The food was great and the ambiance as well. I especially liked the interiors since it felt like we were in the streets of Italy eating pasta.

After dinner, we went to the International Cultural Building at UC Berkeley. We saw a parody entitled The Wizard of Taj which was performed by the school's legit Acapella Group. The music was really great which was a fusion of modern day pop and native Indian music.

Spot the 2 caucasians.
After the 2 hour spring musical, Perry, Marielle and I went to a science lab by the hill somewhere in Berkeley. The view was really stunning. Thank God, we did not encounter any mountain lions.

San Francisco at night
That's all for now xo!

Alles Liebe,
Pologee :-)

PS.
I will be posting more once I have the time to do so.
